Federal law now requires that individuals receive certain information before renovating six square feet or more of painted surfaces in a room for interior projects or more than twenty square feet of painted surfaces for exterior projects in housing, child care facilities and schools built before 1978. The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod (HB&RACC) is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Home Builders Association of Massachusetts (HBAM).

(Beginning in December 2008, the new EPA rule re: lead-safe practices will require that contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint provide to owners and occupants of child care facilities and to parents and guardians of children under age six that attend child care facilities built prior to 1978 this lead hazard information pamphlet.)

2009- 2010 Meeting Schedule

The HB&RACC meets on the second Tuesday of each month from September-June (December is holiday gala). Unless otherwise noted, the meetings are held at the Cape Codder Resort & Spa, Rte. 132 and Bearses Way, Hyannis. Meetings are open to the public and include dinner and a program. The fee is $35.00 per person, for general meetings and the holiday party has a pricing scale based on the number of people attending.  RSVP's required: call 508-398-3900 or email suzie@capecodbuilders.org.
Our meetings are valuable networking and relationship building events for our members. We welcome non-members to attend up to two meetings.
