Imagine
by John Lennon
The music arrangement is by little ole me. Just got a new
toy: Music Masterworks by musicmasterworks.com for $25. Lots of fun. Make your
own orchestral arrangements. Wow. Try it. It’s fun and not too addicting.
Why Imagine? Well, it just hit me one day while listening
to it that it is the Hypoism theme song personified. Catchy tune and incredibly
hypoic fantasy lyrics. Of course, the title, Imagine, is perfect for Hypoism
because, well, we do need to imagine Hypoism happening because it clearly isn’t
happening today – that’s for sure.
Then, there’s the fantasy of brotherhood for all people
including hypoics like John and the rest of us. We know biological and
evolutionary brotherhood is a reality, but who else knows this but us? As far
as the world is concerned, the chicken came first, so where’s the brotherhood?
Hypoics are not wanted as part of their families, right? If you’re not a
chicken, you’re not one of us, right? It’s not about socialism, but rather
biological brother and sisterhood. Lennon was no socialist, but he was a biological
cousin, right? So, why not brotherhood of man? It’s true.
Then, there’s the recognition of all these biologically
derived instincts messing things up – superstition, nationalism, xenophobia,
revenge, greed, hunger, and hoarding wealth – just a few, and the need for
anti-instinctive ways to deal with them, exactly as I discuss in the book. So,
John and I are both assholes I guess. Why not? It’s so boring being normal and
so dangerous being instinctive.
Enjoy the song and the lyrics. Sing along. Let me know if you can
Imagine too.
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
