They say that the best way to get somewhere is to know where you are going. We have never written a mission statement but our mission has always been clear: To provide the best quality product that we can produce at a price that our customer can afford. Rather than building a better mousetrap, we strive to meet the customer's unique needs. Whether it is custom apparel, regalia, appliqued banners or awards, we pride ourselves on the craftmanship of our customization.

HISTORY OF GEO. LAUTERER CORP.
1881 - 2001
Geo. Lauterer Corp. was named after our founding president George Lauterer. Founded in 1881, we have always been located in downtown Chicago. We established our base in Fraternal Regalia and Special Religious Badges. The present management has been in control since 1948. Capitolizing on our convenient Loop location, we have built up a very comprehensive Corporate Award business. Our 30 employees are highly skilled in sewing, embroidery, engraving, hot stamping, silk screening, and metal casting. If you're planning a convention, we specialize in fulfilling your need list. Banners, badges, ribbons, promotional items, portfolios, bags, awards, buttons, Lucite awards we have it all. We continue to strive to meet the needs of 3 distinct markets: 1)Fraternal Regalia :Masons, OES, ELK, KP, OOF, etc. 2)Church badges and Supplies :Baptist,Catholic, AME, COGIC, etc. 3)Corporate Awards & Recognition :Plaques,Banners,Flags,Ribbons, Badges,Advertising Specialties. In 2002 they tore down the building that we were in and we were forced to move. After 30 years at 310 w. washington it was quite an experience. After 120 of business, you learn how to endure.
