The hospital is located in a quaint southern town in South Carolina with the hospitality and comfort you would expect from this corner of the world. This beautiful town offers short drives to the beach, mountains, and metropolitan areas. The local college isranked as one of the “Top 10 Best Comprehensive Schools in the South” by US News and World Reports, and the secondary school is a magnet for the most gifted students in the state for those academic areas. These two schools, in addition to the corporate headquarters of a Fortune 500 company, provide this town with a unique arts and cultural appeal that many small towns are lacking in. It also has an abundance of specialty shops, small parks, and recreational events that are great for all walks of life. Two lakes, provide a great place for water sports and fun during the summer. All of these amenities earned Hartsville the distinct design! ation of “All-American City” by the National Civic League. To go along with the “All-American City” title, this hospital offers a technologically advanced hospital with state-of-the-art equipment and exceptional health care. |

A 116-bed full service hospital is seeking a board certified or board eligible Anesthesiologist to join our anesthesia department. Currently, we have one (1) Anesthesiologist and five (5) CRNAs, as well as six (6) OR suites and two (2) Endoscopy rooms. The hospital’s volumes are increasing exponentially; in 2003, the Emergency Department had over 27,000 visits, the OR performed 5,200 surgeries, and the occupancy rates are consistently hitting record percentages during peak periods. With all the growth, hospital is seeking a Certificate of Need to expand its current Emergency Department, as well as add more acute care beds. With the increasing number of medical specialists at the hospital and the Level III Trauma Certification, out-migration of the market population is held to a minimum. With a population of approximately 30,000 and a service area around 160,000 the hospital still has plenty of r! oom to grow. |
