Job Description: Call will be 1:3 if we get 3 doctors. We need a medical director and 2 to open the doors September 1st. Salary: The compensation range is $175 - $200 based on experience. The Medical Directorship is 25 hours at $150/hour ($45,000) more. Inpatient / outpatient acute 37 bed unit. High profile!!! Doors have to open Septermber 1st ! Job Scope: • Plans, directs and manages the delivery of medical and clinical services in a manner that optimizes resource utilization, provision of care and outcomes for adult patients 18-65 years of age and geriatric adults over 65 years of age who have had an acute psychiatric event. • Provide medical and clinical supervision of the interdisciplinary treatment team • Participates with clinical staff to fulfill the Health System and to successfully meet operational and programmatic goals approved by the organization’s Governing Board. • Participates in system-wide programs which monitor and improve the patient care delivery system. • Participates in hospital-wide performance improvement that ensures important processes and activities are measured, assessed and improved systematically. • Supports medical staff, clinical staff and patient education to enhance knowledge, skills and necessary behaviors to facilitate health and pursue high standards. Manages conflict and finds creative alternatives to issues. Job Responsibilities: • Oversight of all clinically related activities for inpatient caseload; • Timely completion of pertinent clinical evaluations and documentation • Comply with all requirements specified in Medical Staff By-Laws and Rules and Regulations and other Hospital policies and procedures; • Collaborates with the clinical staff of the Health System to promote uniform performance of patient care processes, continuity, and quality outcomes; • Arranges for continuous physician coverage to handle medical emergencies and coverage in the event attending physician is not available; • Attends leadership and other committee meetings as requested; • Makes recommendations for resources required to meet the needs of the patients served; • Participates in quality control/improvement programs, as appropriate; • Participates in the Medical Staff Performance Improvement function; • Collaborates with other treatment team members to deliver patient care services; • Other related responsibilities as assigned.
